J. Daniel Velez is an associate at Simmons Jannace, LLP. His practice focuses on general liability defense litigation.

Danny is a graduate of Hofstra University School of Law and received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from New York University. While attending law school, Mr. Velez was President of the Latino/a Law Student Association and participated in the David E. Woycik, Jr. Intensive Trial Techniques Program.

He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, Puerto Rican Bar Association, Dominican Bar Association and Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County.

Away from work, Mr. Velez enjoys volunteering for the Ronald H. Brown Pre-Law Institute at John Jay College and spending time with his loved ones.
