Jason graduated from St. John's University School of Law in 2006, where he concentrated his studies in civil litigation and labor and employment law. At St. John's, Jason was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and Labor & Employment Law Society. While in law school, he interned at The Associated Press's Legal Department and, prior to attending law school, Jason interned at the Legal Aid Society

Jason attended Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia, where he graduated with a B.A. in English. At Hampden-Sydney College, Jason played varsity football.
